Dear Diffpy Community,

This message is let you know that early bird registration for IUCr2026 in Calgary closes this upcoming Tuesday, March 31, so if you are planning to go to the Congress, I encourage you to register before then to get a lower rate.

In addition to the excellent scientific program, there are several workshops at the start of the Congress that are relevant to this community:

Magnetic PDF, magnetic RMC, and magnetic interactions from neutron total scattering data (organized by Joe Paddison and me).

From Measurement to Disorder Models: A Practical Workshop on Diffuse Scattering Analysis (organized by Ella Schmidt)

X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (organized by Sofia Diaz-Morena)

I hope that many of you will be able to attend the Congress and participate in one of these workshops! See links below for more info.

Best wishes,

Ben Frandsen

In other news, there will, before the main meeting, be a school of the crystallographic computing commission,  on AI and Machine learning. Please sign up for that if you are interested in learning hands on tools for ML.
