DieHards Cocktail Party

One person is describing the hors d’oeuvres as “appearances in awareness.”

Another is explaining that the shrimp cocktail is “neither accepted nor rejected.”

Dan is quietly refining everyone’s language into elegant precision.

Paul is outside looking at trees.

Bob is smiling while carrying folding chairs because somebody actually has to do something.

Jason somehow turned the whole thing into a traveling rock concert.

Meanwhile I’m standing in the middle of the room with my shirt half open, large gold chains exposed, trying to explain that THIS includes the cocktail sauce.

I love the Diehards cocktail idea a lot.  Very funny.  It's too bad we can't actually do it.  There are a lot of people on Diehards I'd like to meet in person, including you.  I appreciate your sense of humor.  Also, your recent tendency toward simplification of all of this.  For some reason, we humans have a tendency toward complexification.  Not sure that's an actual word.  Anyway, thanks Jeff.

Jeff, ☺️  You just need to add that I'm generally outdoors in the garden planting sedum and euphorbia, from morning to evening, right now. Digging in the dirt, as they say.....

And to add, our words don't really matter, it is from where they come (imho), which seems shared to me.....  -Dan

Jim,

I realized afterward I forgot to name you in the cocktail party. Probably because you were quietly watching over the whole thing making sure everything stayed fair and reasonably civilized. 😊

And thanks for the compliment. Maybe I’m simplifying things now so even I can understand them.

It really would be fun to have a real DieHards cocktail party someday. Although maybe we could just do it in the MetaVerse since the idea of it being “real” is probably just another concept anyway.

Thanks Jim.
Jeff

Thanks for being specific Dan. Not just gardening — sedum and euphorbia. 😊

Digging in the dirt from morning to evening sounds very “Just THIS” to me.

And I agree … maybe the words matter less than where they come from.
