GM,
This video is a concise description of what and how the middle way evolved.
As one Budhist scholar said to me Shankaracharya who was a scholar in Advaita is a pseudo Budhist.
One talked from fullness- timeless ISNESS when the ego dissolves- all arises from ONE.
The other emptiness no self everything is from the mind all intertwined, Past and future are constructs of the mind. Now is all there is.
To me both pointing to the 2 sides of the same coin or yin / yang.
Love peace and joy

Rani,

I watched the whole thing and found it quite interesting. A negating of definitive positions and the solidity of language, while at the same time clarifying. It feels open, alive right now. I remember Adyashanti saying, if I remember correctly, that he woke up out of Buddhism (framework).
Thanks, -Dan

Paul,
I thought you would like it. Vedanta dissected and said you as a person are all these parts, but they are not YOU, identity with them creates the maya illusion that you and everything exists, the problem is the identification. Nagarjuna brought up with this philosophy used the very same logic and said if there is no self, nothing that we conceptualize exists. So emptiness. You can say how the 2 cannot be separated.
Love, Peace and Joy !

Thanks Rani. Yes. Of course, having no position can easily become its own position. So it seems to me all positions are free to arise and express themselves without needing to be held onto.   -Dan

Dan,
I agree it is the attachment to anything, anyone, any concept, anything that arises from the mind.
