Hi, I am studying 'devsim' these days
I'd like to simulate a SOI model in Spyder.
So I am trying to make a new SOI model.

I  have made a mesh file for 'SOI' in gmsh by changing some values in 'gmsh_mos2d.geo'

In there, I made 'bulk2', 'oxide2' surface in  'gmsh_mos2d.geo'

but, when i declare  'bulk2', 'oxide2' region in 'create_gmsh_mesh' function at 'gmsh_mos2d_create.py', error appeared :(

Is there another file that declares some regions (ex, bulk, oxide ... )?
I can not find it :(
If there is a another file, it will declare 'bulk2', 'oxide2' regions in that file.
Let me know, plz :)

Thank you for reading my mail !!

Hi:
Your trouble is about the mesh generator. I think you can learn how to use Gmsh in videos.

Thank you so much for answering my question.
Unfortunately, the things that are explained in the video are already known.

To be more specific,
We currently implemented it like this through gmsh,

and the surface was set up like this.

others like
4.JPG5.JPG
6.JPG7.JPG

I think these are correct.
Because, when set like this, gmsh doesn't have an error.

But when I try to define the region in Spider, I get this error.

I'd like to know how to remove the error so that it doesn't appear 'error' when I write bulk2 and oxide2 here.

This is a function 'create_gmsh_mesh' in 'gmsh_mos2d_create.py'

Hi:
In your last image, I think you just have one bulk and oxide region.
So you can try to modify the geo file like this:
Physical Surface("oxide") = {14,15};
Physical Surface("bulk")  = {12,13};

Oh... I made a mistake with that. Thank you for the information :)

Then I added the interface like this.

Do I have to do this too?

Oh, it's working out just like you said.
It also works well in the paraview.
Thank you very much :)

Hello,

Congratulations on your efforts.  I hope that we can make the meshing process easier in the future.

It has been a long time since I have tried Paraview.  Which file format are you using for visualization?

Regards,

Juan

Oh, I didn't know you called.
First, I'm sorry for the late reply.

We opened the '.dat' file and used the file through the 'tecplot reader.'
