All, I've been moderating the list for a while now, and out and out rejecting lots of bogus emails so it never reaches your inbox.

Recently, I cannot ban repeat offenders due to what appears to be a permissions issue, I can only "reject" which often means they come back and try again.

Are any of the other moderators experiencing this?

Would someone with the appropriate levels of permission double check that we moderators are given the "ban" permissions?

Thanks in advance.

Yours in Devops,
Don

Hi there,

Yes, I also experience the same problem. I can only delete the messages.

I likewise can't ban offenders. I had assumed that lack of power was intentional.

Cheers,

I have just checked on google groups that I own, I can do member administration.
On my groups I see that moderators have that some right. I don't think I added that (could be)

I can also on messages, tell to exclude a person from the group
i assume it's the same right

I'm not sure I'm following you Yves.

It seems that this person keeps trying to post job postings to our list, and I cannot ban. rahul....@gmail.com - can someone put them on the ban list on my behalf?

Again, I'd love to get the power to ban without the need for someone else to do so.

Yours in list moderation,
Don
