We have a CHMT560p4 and CHMT530p4 Pick and Place
Machine for sale. These machines are Charmhigh's "big-brothers" to the CHMT36VA
machines commonly used in this group. We found these to be a big
improvement over the 36VA on everything from build quality to speed,
accuracy, and reliability.
The reason we're parting with them is that we're moving facilities
near the end of this year and we've been using these less and less due
to ordering volume runs through our CM. We are located in Southern Oregon, USA.
The machines come with a variety of electric feeders (all feeders
listed are electric). The machines can be run with less expensive pneumatic feeders as
well, but Charmhigh recommends these electric feeders for the absolute
best performance/reliability.
Machine #1 - Asking $6,000
Machine #2 - Asking $4,000
Machine #2 (if bought separately) will need a small air compressor
which is used for the triggering of the feeder progression (the electric
feeders sense the pressure change to start the next feed). Other then that both machines
include everything needed to run as well as stencil printers and reflow
ovens.
If there are any questions please feel free to ask.

Hello Brian,
The files are a very similar format (at least to the 36VA), but I
think you will likely need to regenerate or at least modify your
files for the 530/560p4. For example we had to rotate all parts 90
degrees for the 36VA because of the feeders being on the side,
when we went to the 530/560 (because the feeders are straight on)
we removed that offset from our file generation. There likely were
other minor things we had to change as well, but I can't recall.
However, conceptually you should feel right at home coming from
the 36VA style machines. There's also some options that we found
that weren't available to us in the 36VA software we were running.
Many of which, like individual (per feeder) vision thresholds,
were really useful to us.
In terms of repairs I think we replaced a 12v fan in one of the machines and a feeder power supply (external to machine), so pretty minimal. In terms of reliable feeding/placement it was a very noticeable improvement over the 36VA. The 36VA feeder system is really clever, but the standalone feeders are in our experience a lot more reliable by themselves.
Changeable feeders was one of the motivators for us as well. It
worked particularly well for us as we (by design) reuse many of
the same parts on different designs.
