It is not in my hand but a reliable member has asked for an ID. Azerbaijan. Size seems similar to PMA-1 but it may be closer to the Israel No.4. some pens are bigger than others. Hatched top could have metal inside? Hinge pins and initiator look metal so the makers were not concerned about detectability...

Does this feature in your records Colin?

Thanks,
Andy

Andy, looks like one of the various plastic variations on the PMD-6 theme. Rae

Hi Andy,

I’ve not seen this before, but there’s an Armenian version of the PMN, so my best guess is that this is their (Armenian) PMD-6M equivalent.

Looks like it will take the standard Russian 200g TNT block and any of the MUV-series fuzes, unlike the Cuban or Korean types with their internal fuze design, and nothing like the Yugoslav PMA-1A.

Best regards,

Colin

Good evening, Andy.  I honestly can say that I have never encountered this particular mine and, therefore, would not hazard a guess as to its origins.  In this instance, I would go with Colin's assessment as he is very seldom wrong.
