From my post on github:

Has anyone looked at or currently have a deis deis/coreos running on top of OpenNebula? It's our cloud of choice so far and we just started to look at deis as well. I have a mostly working template and coreos image so far for opennebula. I was looking at possibly following the bare metal install/config path in the deis docs to get things going. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

I don't know much (at all) about OpenNebula, but generally, as long as you follow our best practices for things like volume  sizing (http://docs.deis.io/en/latest/managing_deis/disk_usage/) and make sure you're using the shared cloud-config in the project (contrib/coreos/user-data.example), you should be good to go.

The only customizations we make to the CoreOS host are reflected in the cloud-config/user-data file.

Be sure to let us know how things go! If you'd like to contribute provision scripts and documentation for OpenNebula, we'd love to review them!

I've just uploaded a CoreOS alpha channel KVM image to the OpenNebula Marketplace: http://marketplace.opennebula.systems/appliance/570151808fb81d0d6f000002

Built with Packer, supports cloud-config customization: https://github.com/carletes/coreos-opennebula-image
