Hello all,

I am trying to install Dedalus using conda as described on the website (https://dedalus-project.readthedocs.io/en/latest/pages/installation.html). I have no experience with Anaconda or anything similar, so it's very difficult for me to understand the instructions. Could anyone explain in more detail, exactly what I'm supposed to do using the installation script? The sentence I especially don't understand is:

"Modify the options at the top of the script to change the name of the resulting conda environment, link against custom MPI/FFTW/HDF5 libraries, choose between OpenBLAS and MKL-based numpy/scipy, and more."

Thank you,
Aryan Prabhudesai

Hi Aryan,

You could ignore that line.

Yes for a basic installation you just need to follow the boxed commands in the “Conda installation” section.
