The group of Numerical Analysis at the Department of Mathematics, University of Milan,

invites applications for a PostDoc position (24 months)  in the area of biomathematics and scientific computing.

Expected starting date will be in Fall 2021.

Objectives of the research activity will be among the following, depending on the experience of the successful candidate:

- Development of effective numerical methods and parallel solvers for fluid-structure interaction, with applications to hemodynamics;

- Development of machine learning techniques for the approximation of partial differential equations, with applications to hemodynamics;

- Development of effective numerical methods and parallel solvers for the cardiac electro-mechanical activity.

Competences:

- Mathematical modeling;

- Numerical analysis and scientific computing;

- Numerical methods for partial differential equations;

- Machine learning;

- Programming in C++ and/or Python.
