RIP Jeff Leach (1990-2016)

Brothers,

It is my sad duty to inform you all that Jeffrey Rohm Leach (COL '13) passed away yesterday morning. While Jeff had been sick for some time, this still comes as a shock, and we have reached out to his family to see if there is any way we can support them during this difficult time.

Jeff joined Georgetown SigEp in the fall of 2009 at the urging of, and with strong recommendations from, fellow brother Rick Goode. Jeff remained dedicated to the fraternity through his undergraduate years and beyond, continuing to attend SigEp Homecoming and other events while he lived in the DC area for 2-3 years after graduating.

Jeff was a more quiet, but constantly warm and positive, presence during his 7 years as a brother in DC Gamma. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Per Jeff's wishes, there will not be a funeral or memorial service. We have limited details at this time but it is our understanding that his family wishes to set up a foundation in his name; I will follow up in the coming days once we have further information for any of you who would like to make a contribution.

A quick update for you with further information. The Boston Globe offered a condolence notice on Jeff here, which includes mention of his membership in SigEp at Georgetown.
