The Fair Elections Center is seeking a full-time Finance Coordinator to assist our Finance Director with daily financial procedures. The Finance Coordinator will perform a broad range of day-to-day finance, accounting, and grant activities, including accounts payable, procurement, audit preparation, reimbursements, general bookkeeping, financial reconciliation, and other administrative tasks needed to support the Finance Director.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
● Accurately reviews, verifies, codes, and processes invoices, requisitions, and reimbursement requests into accounting software.
● Investigates and resolves any payment and accounting issues as they arise.
● Assist with credit card and bank reconciliations by compiling all pertinent documentations (receipts, contracts, payment confirmations, etc.).
● Develop and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and accounting information for management.
● Assist with budget projections and tracking all income and expenses.
● Prepare reports that outline the Fair Elections Center’s financial position regarding income, expenses, and earnings.
● Assist with payroll administration.
● Supports the Finance Director in the preparation of financial presentations, analysis, and other materials, as needed.
● Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
● Organize and maintain financial records and files as needed.
Education/Experience Requirements
● 4 years of accounting experience or a related degree plus two years of finance or accounting experience.
● Expertise in QuickBooks.
● Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
● Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
● Experience using bill.com or similar bill payment software for businesses.

Location and Compensation
The position is located in Washington, DC but currently remote. This is a full-time position, with a salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 DOE. Benefits include generous vacation and fully paid health, dental and vision coverage as well as a 403(b) pension plan with employer contribution.
