Fair Elections Center is seeking a self-motivated, detailed-oriented, and organized individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant isfor assisting the  President/CEO and Vice President to provide high-level, confidential administrative support in clerical, administrative and project-based operations. The candidate should be able to anticipate the needs of those they support while maintaining a high level of discretion. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing nonprofit with a mission to use litigation, advocacy, and campus organizing to remove barriers to registration and voting, particularly those excluding underrepresented communities, and to improve election administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

   Provide administrative support to the President and Vice President including calendar management, coordinating travel plans, meeting preparation, processing phone and email inquiries, electronic files and managing other relevant documents.

   Assist in organizing board meetings including catering, preparation of agendas and the distributions of presentations and materials ahead of the meeting.

   Assist with the preparation of internal messaging and external correspondence as needed.

   Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the President and Vice President informed of all critical issues.

   Act as liaison with other internal departments/programs and outside organizations.

   Engage in special projects and events as needed.

   Provide office management support for the DC office.

   Handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and tact.

Requirements

  4 years of administrative support in a professional office environment or bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience.

   Proficient knowledge of G-Suite applications (Gmail, Google Calendar) and Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

   A passion for and commitment to the organization’s mission.

   Excellent organizational, time management, project management, communication, and customer service skills.

   Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

   Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

   Ability to treat sensitive/confidential information appropriately.

Location and Compensation

The position is located in Washington, DC but currently remote. This is a full-time position, with a salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience. Benefits include generous vacation and fully paid health, dental and vision coverage as well as a 403(b) pension plan with employer contribution.
