NAKASEC is a great org that is looking for a Communications Director. I'm not involved with NAKASEC or the hiring process, but was asked to help spread the word.
The salary range for this role is $80-90k and it's based in Chicago or DC. The deadline is nominally Friday, but I was told by the ED that it'd be fine to turn in an application any time before Tuesday.
NAKASEC’s mission is to organize Korean and Asian Americans to achieve social, economic, and racial justice. They are doing great work resisting and organizing against the surge in anti-Asian hate, and I had a number of people I respect deeply reach out to me about this role.
In addition to their remarkable work confronting anti-Asian violence, one colleague told me that their voice is particularly important because "they do actual organizing and power-building, and are actively working to undo anti-Blackness in Asian communities."
