Communications Coordinator

Responsibilities:
Contribute directly to getting results for clients by; drafting media prep memos, developing media press lists, pitching stories to major TV outlets and print publications.
Have a voice on a small team and opportunity to work on assignments with real substance for a variety of different clients, ranging from labor unions, to health care advocacy organizations, voting rights organizations and more.
Gain unique experience and career training by working directly with the principal and the firm's other team members.
Serve as point person for compiling media clips for a wide range of clients.
Qualified Candidates:
Individuals who have at least one year of communications experience in a firm, campaign, Capitol Hill or organizational setting. This can include substantive internship experience.
Self-motivated individuals who can work independently and won’t be afraid to share ideas with team members.
Prospective candidates must thrive on delivering results
Strong writing and grammar skills are a must
Candidates must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Candidates should have a passion for communications and politics, be looking to learn, and are encouraged to ask questions
This position is salaried, commensurate with experience. This is a position with a central office in Washington, DC., with the option to work completely remotely.
