Color Of Change is looking to hire a Senior Advisor in the rapidly expanding office of the Vice President/Chief of Campaigns, based in Washington DC.

Reporting directly to the Vice President/Chief of Campaigns, the Senior Advisor will work within the Vice President’s Office to lead and coordinate several areas of work that are critical to the success of Color Of Change, including supporting the Vice President in driving priorities that meet internal and external goals across the organization.

The Senior Advisor must bring a deep understanding of the needs and systems required to run an ambitious, effective, campaign-driven, well-resourced, media-savvy organization with activities ranging across our c3, c4, and PAC entities. The right person for this role must also bring a deep commitment to racial justice and the elevation of Black leadership.

The Senior Advisor must have excellent writing and communication skills across varied formats and contexts. They must also exhibit enthusiasm for the challenge of being reliably skilled and attentive to substantive nuance and operational detail, logistical strategy, and interpersonal dynamics. The Senior Advisor must be flexible and agile, while also strengthening systems that improve efficiency and quality of work within the Vice President’s office and across the organization. 

This is a role for a goal-oriented leader who takes pride in leading, developing, and driving outcomes that help the Vice President succeed so that the organization is better positioned to win real-world victories for Black people. This is not a traditional 9-5 and will require some work on weekends and nights during peak times. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be incredibly passionate about racial and social justice issues and possess unparalleled emotional intelligence, coupled with excellent writing and communication skills across varied formats and contexts.

Compensation

This is a full-time, exempt position. The salary is $130,000. Color Of Change also offers a competitive benefits package.
