Update on GliderScore problems from Cincy contest

All,

The issues that surfaced using GliderScore at our last contest are related to running GliderScore on a Mac/BootCamp/Windows setup. I must be a rare user of this Mac/BootCamp setup. Gerry Carter, the author of the program, was kind enough to sort that out. He had to change some code to stop the audio players from locking up. I now have my own “GliderScore for Barry.exe” program. Working perfectly now. I point this out to alleviate concerns other may have about GS being difficult. Some time is needed to get familiar, but it is a wonderful program. I anticipate smooth operation of scoring and audio, perhaps a clock as well at our next contest. Again, apologies for the delays and brain fade that occurred.

I’ve had my head deep into Gliderscore sorting all this out. If anyone has questions about GS feel free to check with me.

We didn’t even try it on a Mac with a bridge. Just bought a cheap Windows computer

Thanks for update on GS. Gerry Carter's support is really outstanding.

I will do several dry runs with GS before next contest at Twin Towers on Oct 16 & 17.

One step at a time.  I’ll look into it, certainly a handy feature.  For now, I’m happy to have GS working well and dependably.
