Do folks know if there is any coordinated effort in/around Davis Square tomorrow - Tuesday, January 20 - for the "Free America Walkout" at 2pm local time?

First I’ve heard of it, and right on. Looks like there’s a few registered actions nearby, but nothing in Cambridge or Somerville.

There is a walkout meeting point at the corner of Cedar and Highland.

Hi neighbors,

Some of you may have heard that there are plans to have a national Walkout tomorrow at 2 pm, the anniversary of last year's inauguration, to show unhappiness with what's been happening to and in our country. The Women's March and 50501 are among the organizers. (See sources below.)

Would others who work from home or are stay-at-home parents or retired want to join me in standing at a corner nearby with signs between 2 to 2:15? I was thinking of standing at either the corner of Cedar and Highland or Lowell and Highland for about 15 min at 2 pm. (I'm using signs I made for previous protests about the treatment of immigrants and against tyrants.)

It could be effective to have people standing at different corners along Highland Ave, to be seen as drivers pass by. But if I'm the only one doing it, let me know if you have a sense of which corner has the most traffic.

Here are the ideas of the Walkout, from the website below:

We walk away from fascism.

We walk towards a Free America.

We fight for a future that belongs to us all.

Everybody in, nobody out.

Hi Rona,

What about standing out in the middle of Davis? I think it would be a good rallying point and more visible. I can join you there today at 2.

Solidarity,
Marco

The one already set - at Cedar and Highland - is not showing up. Would you like me to register it? If so, who is sponsoring?
