Here's some quick answers:
- Time commitment: must attend all DSNC meetings (help run them), and a monthly board meeting. That adds up to roughly 5 hrs a month. The DSNC has a bunch of initiatives and logistic work that needs to happen in the background, the Board handles a lot of that on a volunteer basis. Ideally, board members will be able to contribute a few additional hours a month (some of us contribute much more, of course!)
- Duties: beyond the meetings and running the logistics of DSNC, duties include drafting and approving statements / communications, coordinating with developers, and organizing questions for developers. Officers (president, secretary, treasurer) have more duties as specified in bylaws
- Needed for nomination: fill out the nomination form
- Qualities: needs to satisfy membership requirements, details specified in bylaws
- current makeup: current board is Elaine (president), Chris (VP), Zev (secretary), PJ (treasurer), Jason, Carmen, Paul, Louisa, Jack. We introduce ourselves every meeting, if anyone wants to learn more about us feel free to ask! We require at least one renter, homeowner, business owner, and business employee.
