Hi folks,

Once again, I need help with my photos.  I hit something wrong recently, and am now unable to crop photos the way I want to. Right now, if I try to crop a photo, all 4 sides of the photo get cropped at once. I am unable to crop only one side, which is how I usually crop photos. What do I do to un-do that? I know it’s something easy, but I cannot figure it out. This time I will write downtime answer &paste it on my laptop.

Thank you.

Mary,

I recently got into the same situation. When using the crop tool, touch the circled … , select the Unlock Aspect Ratio  to allow trimming each side individually.

It might be a little different for other versions of OS.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out for us.

Hi Mary,

I am assuming you are using Photos. I can't duplicate you problem. Crop actually crops the viewer over the photo. Once the size is correct, the photo can be moved under the viewer. Not sure if that is you issue.

If you are using some other application, it may be that it has a setting to change the crop tool.
