Jim,
for some ODD reason the printer has now printed! Crazy.

But I still would like to clean the print heads. I have not been able to get to that place. I tried both of what you suggested:
1. I now have all Epson ink in, and found that I did before!!!! So that was apparently not the problem.
2. Yes, I could scan. Did that 2 days ago, but was then unable to print that scanned document which is on my desktop. This is what DID print a few minutes ago as I state in the first sentence here.
3. There were no "4 items" in Options & Supplies, with one being Utility (attaching that image)
4. I see no Printer Queue in System Preferences (attaching that image)

Any new clues on these last 2, since I still would like to clean the print heads, and that capacity seems t have disappeared. Hope I've made this clear on my end.

Yes, I will clean MANY times, once I find the facility to do that!!
Thanks again!
Marilyn

Let's try something else.

Go to your Applications folder and look for an Epson or Epson Software folder. It there you should see Epson Print Utility 4 (maybe a different number). Open that and you should see all the tools:

Jim.
Another comment today,
I have successfully printed out about 7 pages of Blue Cross insurance info pages, but the last 3-4 obviously need the printer heads cleaned. They printed, but very blurry on certain lines - - not legible!!!! Ick! So the problem is not entirely solved.
See my previous message.
THANKS,
Marilyn

The other way to do things is using the Show Printer Web Page from the Printer Queue page. That page should have a Maintenance button where you can do the same things.

In the Epson folder you sent, you highlighted the Epson Utilties folder. What are the apps in the parent folder? I can't see what all the names are but there were 9 apps starting with Epson. See if one of those helps.

Earlier you sent a picture of the Epson Printer Queue. There is a button Show Printer Web Page. You should be able to access all the maintenance tools from there also.

If necessary, I can share you screen and try to help. I do have a busy schedule, but would have time Thursday early afternoon and Friday morning and late afternoon.

PS. You may need to align the heads also. If there are blank lines through the text, the heads need cleaning. If blurry, align.

Thanks Jim. I've gotta take a break. I am also trying to get some health insurance changes understood and changed. Such a pain.
I have now sent 4 of those documents to the local printer business to xerox. I will pick them up tomorrow.

I still might contact Epson but have not had the chance yet. My son was here all day yesterday and left this morning for MI. I'll let you know if I can connect with you Thurs. I might get to Epson before then too. Everything seems like such a dead end. Ugh!

Thanks for your efforts. I'll get back to you,
Marilyn
