Hi all,
I have a question, If I use initially the file as storage driver, then I change to s3, whats happen to the stored datasets?

Are they moved to s3 or they stay on the server?

Thanks,
Alfredo

Hello,

My understanding is that previously uploaded files will retain their storage location in the database (and the underlying datafiles won't be moved), but any newly-uploaded files will use the new storage driver and datastore. If you'd like to migrate the files there are example SQL statements here: https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/developers/deployment.html#migrating-datafiles-from-local-storage-to-s3

I hope this helps?
Don
