Hello,

A number of metric endpoints are already included in Dataverse, so you might download https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse-metrics (and use the "installation-level" instructions).

Note that there is an open bug for installations without FilePIDs enabled which got fixed in version 5.13.

There is a "beta" DataCite Usage Tracker widget under development which may be included like a Google Analytics code, but that's still on the way.

Until then, there is "Make Data Count": https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/admin/make-data-count.html

To add to what Don said, the :MetricsUrl setting (https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/installation/config.html?highlight=metrics#metricsurl ) will make the Metrics Entry on the page a live link:

 

If you setup the local dataverse-metrics app, you can point to its location with :MetricsUrl to link to it. (Same idea if you have your own custom metrics app as some installations did/do).
