AI expert system for Dataverse community

Hi all, I've always dreamed of combining Google’s functionality with Wikipedia and being able to ask questions, just like with ChatGPT- and now, it’s finally possible. Using a decentralized approach, without changing ownership or ingesting content into the model, we can create a navigation layer to ask questions and get back to references. No hallucinations, just your own pages.

So meet Ask Dataverse, expert system created for Dataverse project, providing a 'single point' for documents, guides, GitHub issues, Google threads, and presentations. If you're missing some information there, just add it yourself.

In short, Slava has built something I dreamed about as I closed my "crazy ideas" talk* in 2019. The last question from Thu-Mai who asked this:

"There's so much activity happening among the community with the Google Group and all that stuff. It really would be nice if on dataverse.org we could represent all these things happening. Because right now it's a little bit tough. I think people would be surprised to find out that people are having these ongoing conversations. They're doing all this development. There should be one place where we can see all that stuff."

https://ask.dataverse.org helps solve this problem by aggregating all the knowledge about Dataverse from our guides, our website, this mailing list, GitHub Issues, Zulip, and more into a centralized place we can all query.
