Good morning,

We have been discussing an issue with a researcher regarding a dataset uploaded to CORA.RDR. We are experiencing a problem with the CSV file: when opening it, some columns lose the decimal point (latitude and longitude values), but only in certain rows.

We have not been able to identify the cause. In LibreOffice’s preview the values appear correctly, but once the file is opened, the decimal points disappear in some cases.
However, if the same data is exported from R in Excel format, everything works properly.

We would like to know whether you have encountered a similar issue before. If we cannot identify the source of the problem, we may need to upload the file in Excel format instead of CSV.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hmm, I don't remember this problem specifically. Please feel free to open an issue at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues and please attach a CSV file that exercises the bug (you may need to add a .txt file extension). Thanks! Also, can you reproduce it at https://demo.dataverse.org ?
