There is an outside chance a chip off may work.

That is a standard ‘Flash’ style Sandisk controller.

It is a new WD SanDisk SSD controller, unfortunately.  To the best of my knowledge, it is extremely complex.

If you can upload detailed photos of each side of the PCB, I could identify the supply voltage test points.

I suspect that JP2 may be a "ROM mode" or "safe mode" jumper. One pin goes to ground, the other to the flash controller.

If there is no power getting to the chips, check that the DEV SLEEP pin is not active. Also check the power MOSFET switch at U10.

Hi

I have attached drives both side photos. When I plug to pc3000 it's coming ready  instantly,  but when I try to enter the utility it is going to busy forever.

Hi Tim

Are you saying to remove the chip and read on pc3000 flash ?

I did say it was an outside chance. But Luke thinks this controller is not supported so maybe not. Drop a ticket to Ace Labs and ask.

Measure the voltages at L2, L3 and L4 (adjacent to the PMIC at U2). I expect they should be OK since the SSD comes ready and identifies itself correctly.

Would the ID reported in ROM mode help to identify the controller?

Yes, they are recoverable by those with Flash Extractor and VNR, for those who have those systems and the patience to get clean dumps.

YES VNR IS ONLY A SOLUTION AS THIS IS NOT ENCRYPTED BOARD.

This cases can be solved by VNR or Flash Extractor. Usually it is a lot of work - readeing, correcting and assembly usually takes 1-3 weeks for person who know what to do. Result usually is not perfect, around 65-95%.

What do you think, will there be a chance to support this controller in  PC3K Flash? Or not because ACE doesn't want in house concurrence against PC3K SSD?

Not doing a chip off is definitely the best option as results vary so much. ACE tend to work with translator solutions and I guess this one is pretty complex.
