They are supported in PC3000 SSD.

Needs to be read via a PATA connection.

The PS3111 is a generic controller used in many drives. 99% of the time the make usually doesn’t matter unless its had a FW tweak by the manufacturer.

This FW can only be worked on via a PATA connection with the PC3000 SSD utility. There is an adapter to go from SATA to PATA via PC3000, so you can use a loader and build the translator. The reason?….. above my paygrade….

If you have PC3000 SSD, try it. You will likely see it will suggest to use that PATA adapter.

Could you tell me the which SATA-PATA bridge IC is used?

I have mine working on that exact controller now. Mine is a JM20330. It's not the one Ace supplies so not sure if theirs may be different.

Thanks to both.

The reason I ask is that I often see requests for recommendations in the user forums for these adapters, although they often go the other way, ie SATA host to IDE drive.

It does appear that Ace also uses the JM20330 bridge.

I only needed that adapter once.
Not sure it is worth investing in it.

@Frank why do you think the bridge matters ?
I've used in the past a few SATA-PATA convertors (the 1 i find first 😅) and they all work perfect

here is 1 I use frequently

I watch the user forums. A lot of people can't get some adaptors to work with their HDDs. Some cases appear to be due to CHS drives, but others are a mystery. The JM20330 is bidirectional, so it is possibly a more versatile choice. I would expect that Ace has done appropriate testing before choosing this chip.

FYI, here is its datasheet:

Your bridge appears to be a Marvell  88SA8052:

It is also bidirectional.

These circuit diagrams show the pinout for Marvell's 88SA8052 SATA-PATA bridge (page 18):

It appears that the IC is pinout compatible with Sunplus's SPIF223A and some unspecified JMicron bridge. The JM20330 has a very similar pinout.
