So your issue is that you can read all the mods but not get SA access?

No,
Drive spins down , only remains spinning if i disable head 09 in rom but that will never gimme user area access .so head 09 needs to be on and if its on it spins down , i know we need to block sa load loader , change ram headmap to 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 08 , then load mod 01 and press soft reset to init drive , in this case not working

I believe WD SMR drives complete a head check as part of the initialization procedure, so I guess switching the head off in ROM gets around this issue.

However I am confused. So you can turn off H9 in the ROM and it continues spinning. Can you not then image the other 9 heads in DE? As you have bent the head you will not get data from that head anyway. Or am I not understanding?

Well,
You Said " i believe WD SMR drives complete a head check as part of the initialization procedure, so I guess switching the head off in ROM gets around this issue " , Well nope if i had cut the head physically then it was a issue ,Here its just lifted up it should pass its head checking procedure  ,My guess is SMR not only tests head but also tries and reads the platter of all the heads to pass its init procedure  .If you do not block SA and disable this head in rom  it will and should click as firmware translator and many table will point to this disable head ,The only way this does not knock is when sa is blocked and that head is disabled in rom ,The problem in this case is that once the drive spins down even after loading LDR it never spins back up come what may tricks i try . You Said " However I am confused. So you can turn off H9 in the ROM and it continues spinning. Can you not then image the other 9 heads in DE? As you have bent the head you will not get data from that head anyway. Or am I not understanding?" ,Well you cannot disable head in ROM like this and init the drive ,From your statement i can imagine you have never done this as when you disable the head in rom drive will click if SA is not blocked , Might be you can login to my system and i can show you this and might be some idea crops up
