Good morning. I received an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder (VN-7200) yesterday. The customer has deleted a very important voice memo and desperately needs it back. I don't see any way to make this an external drive since the only two connections are Ear and Mic. Has anybody had any success with one of these?

Thanks.

I had a similar one of these in a couple of years ago. Not sure if it is exactly the same model but close. I spoke to Olympus support and they told me you cannot access the VR externally. Technology might have changed since then, but as it's old its doubtful.

We did a chip-off, but could not rebuild the data. FWIR the controller was proprietary. Mine was not eMMC but yours might be.

Looks like a you need a 137p adapter by up828.  Just chip it and get a physical.  Should be able to recover it
