Crucial Bx500 SSD

Good day

 

I received this new Crucial BX500 240Gig SSD with a SM2259XT controller with a suspected translator fault and I only have DFL that supports the 2258 controllers, does anybody knows if PC3000 supports this model already ?

Thanks I did see that page but the 2258 is listed under Crucial and not the 2259 ?

This is a good case for get help with ACE Lab.  PC-3000 Supports SM2259XT.  Maybe they have a way to handle your Crucial BX500 SM2259XT Remotely.

Thanks for response and I will have to outsource this job then, I do wonder if PC3000 debug ROM will work with DFL SSD tools ?

I get loader not found when I load them from the list.

Should I try them all?

I saw that the 2259XT controller is in the list of supported controllers in the "Silicon Motion" utilities, and family "Silicon Power Slim S55"

Is there a RAM chip on the PCB?

Or just NANDs.

I would say just NAND. I have also attached the log.

If its just NAND then more than likely it’s a SM2259XT and should be supported.

However if the loaders do not work that is not a good sign.

You can try as many as you like.

I assume its in safe/ROM mode?

Yes it's in safe mode (ROM).

Roman on the ACE forum wrote to me that the controller is partially supported and to try all loaders.

I found the loader that gives me physical access but unfortunately then I get the message that the number of chips specified (8) does not match the number of chips detected (4), which is in fact the actual number of NANDs.
The loader is "U0326A0 HYNV6_00.
