Datameet! It has been a while! Hope everyone is doing well with their projects and life! I am about to begin a project mapping urban areas globally, back applying names, and hopefully populations. I created a pilot proof of concept dataset for Guinea (*randomly picked a country in Africa). I could start to process India as well, but it is a massive process and want general feedback before I do so. please give me ideas, feedback, and critique anything you think I can do better, or things I should add. I need to explain my workflow for people to understand how this will be created, but for the most part right now it is select by location, and score a cell if it intersects urban data from a handful of sources. Names and populations will come later, and be difficult... but for now, it is a POC.
