Update about platform - Covid-19 relief work in Pune-PCMC

Just wanted to share an update with you. We group of friends are working on a initiative related Covid-19 relief work in Pune and PCMC, Maharashtra. I wanted to share details with you and request for your feedback.

Objective - It is an online platform created to CONNECT with each other individuals/groups/orgs doing on-field relief work in Pune and PCMC, Maharashtra. It contains searchable list of relief works(with contact details) going on in various areas.

Users -

1. On field individuals/groups/orgs can find and call other groups working in same area, collaborate, and increase impact of their work. They can exchange, fetch resources from fellow orgs.

2. Individual locked down citizens can know about groups working in their area and help them from home.

3. Person in need can directly call groups working in their area and appeal for help.

Status - There are 200+ such individuals/groups mentioned in this platform. We talked with pcmc commissoner and his team graciously helped us by providing offlcial lists. Many more people are helping in their capacity. Platform is in both languages - english and marathi.

Usefulness - We do want to track usefulness of such platform. Based on which we can make many further decisions such as:

1. Whether to use such platform in future crisis situation

2. Whether to put more efforts into developing this platform further

3. Whether to replicate such platform in other big cities in india. etc.

Note - Its a completely voluntary platform. Totally free to use.  We are not an NGO. We do not collect any donations. Individuals call relief working groups directly. We just act as a channel to connect them with each other. We are team of 8 people. I handle all the technology efforts.
