Hello, since the Indian Census website seems to be perpetually unavailable, is there an alternate site where I might gain access to the 2011 C-16 language files for all states and territories? Thanks

I have only got as close as the town level data.

Dear Chris, the census website hasn't worked for at least 1 or even 2 years. I haven't got further than 'unable to connect' for as long as I can remember. Does it work for you?

I thought the issue was the census website for like the last couple of years. But perhaps it is due to the fact that I live in Japan. I've tried other devices, turned off firewalls, cleared caches and even used VPNs and nothing allows me to do so.

Anyways. I'm glad the website is working.

Hi Patrick (and others),

Indeed, accessing the Census website, if you're not based in India, is a pain. C-16 tables are not available at the village-level (as far as I know).

@Shiv- Unfortunately, I do not have a master folder that contains all Census files, but whatever I got, I will try to post here.
