Hello!

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) releases daily bulletins of average AQI and prominent pollutants for 200+ cities

We (Urbanemissions.info) scraped this data from 2015-Jan to 2025-Jun. You can access it on Datasette Lite (open on desktop) or download the CSV.
More about this data can be read here: GitHub

Here's a visualization made with this data: AQI Timeseries and our report: AQI Analysis for Indian Cities

Best Regards,
Dammalapati Sai Krishna.

This is quite beautifully done. Does the dataset have in-City data too (ie., for geo-mapped locations)?

Best

Good morning.

The daily bulletins do not include any further details -- like data at station level or by hour.
The information on the number of stations used and which pollutant is responsible for the city's AQI that day is a useful contribution.

The raw data from CPCB can be downloaded here
(needs cleaning of 15 min data)
(hourly daily data is also available here, but the averaging and qa/qc methods are unclear)
See under Advance

With best wishes,
Sarath
