[Resource: Scripts, Dataset] Gridded datasets of Daily Rainfall from IMD

Thanks to the work of Pai et al. (2014), 0.25x0.25 degree gridded datasets ara made available to the public by IMD with data starting from 1901 until 2023.

The scripts in this github repo (https://github.com/Veethahavya/IMD-gridded_rainfall_fetch_vis) automates the download of said datasets from the IMD Pune website (https://www.imdpune.gov.in/cmpg/Griddata/Rainfall_25_NetCDF.html), and provides a tool to visualise it interactively.

I made this for a personal (non-commercial) project, so thought I'd share.

Contributions to improve/upgrade or make additions to the scripts/tool are welcome on github.

Is it possible for someone to create a dump of this data set retrieved from the script? Such source web pages are prone to deletion, because of which scripts like this then can't be used later on. That's why it may be better if a dump can be created!
