Hello!

Anyone have an handy resource for finding shapefiles for Indian
watersheds? I'm looking for shapefiles for a series of small west
coast rivers.

I am throwing my hands up at trying to work through India-WRIS as it
seems to fail at most turns.

I'm about ready to just take a hardcopy atlas and georeference it
myself, but I'm sure there's an easy solution or data portal that I
just can't find.

Any hive-mind-help would be appreciated.

Warm regards,

Adam

Check if openstreetmap has the rivers you are looking for, heres a query:

Move around to your location and hit run. You can get an all India dump of this data in shapefile format from http://download.geofabrik.de/asia/india.html . Its updated daily, so if you make some edits back to OSM = you can get the updated shapefile the next day.

Ah, i misread as river shapefiles. Just checked WRIS and looks like their geoserver from where you could query data is not available anymore :(

Which rivers are you looking for?

I have Scraped the River Basin & Sub-basin Data from the WRIS site, and uploaded them as a geoPackage here:
