Dear gp members
I had submitted one paper in Scopus indexed journal. The reviewer has raised a query whether assumptions of multivariate normality have been tested or not, if not is sem applicable. I am unable to understand what is demanded by the reviewer. Please advise. I have seen many papers in which before application of SEM via Amos normality tests have not been mentioned. Which tests do I need to do.
My paper was a survey on likert scale. I have attached a copy in which please refer to fourth point. Please provide guidance.

Thanks
Vibhu

Multivariate Normality Assumption (MNA) is a prerequisite before one goes for CB-SEM.

Usually in likert scale, this assumption in most of the times stand violated.

Either you go for normalising your data or prefer PLS SEM where MNA is not required.

However, the reviewer has asked many other pertinent questions related to SEM.

Please present the entire findings step by step (Measurement Model and Structural Model) in your result section that shall offer much needed clarity to the reviewer.

Hope it helps. Neeraj Sir and other friends can offer better insights to your MNA question.

Protocols of this Group:

1. Plz search previous post in group before posing the question.
2. Don't write query in someone's post. Always use the option of New topic for the new question. You can do this by writing to dataanalys...@googlegroups.com
3. Its better to give a proper subject to your post/query. It'll help others while searching.
4. Never write Open ended queries. This group intend to help research scholars NOT FOR WORK THEM.
5. Never write words like URGENT in ur posts. People will help them when they are free.
6. Never upload any info about National Seminars/Conferences. Send such info on personal emails. And feel free to share any RESEARCH related info.
7. No Happy New Year, Happy Diwali, Happy Holi, Happy B'day, Happy Anniversary etc. allowed on this group.
8. Few months back there was a facility for asking & sharing the Research Papers. Now there is no provision of asking for the research paper here.

Let’s make a better research environment.

Thank you for the information sir. Sir all tables are presented including cfa values ,AVE,CR and beta coefficients. Out of three reviewers one is asking for sem model. Do we need to make changes in paper according to all the reviewers. I have seen many papers with only tables and no diagrammatical model.
Thank you sir
Regards
Vibhu

You have to satisfactorily answer all the queries that have been asked by the reviewer.

Diagrammatically presenting your structural model will add much needed clarity to the readers as well.

Arun

Dear Vibhu
Plz note that univariate and multivariate normality are different concepts.
I've explained how to check Multivariate normality in this video:
Best wishes
