Dear Sir,

We are working on developing a scale on rape victims and while collecting the data we met with the family members of rape victims, judges and police officers. So, through these interactions we got to know various myths associated with rape victims.

Now, we would like to report these findings in a journal. So, kindly guide about what type of paper it would be and the methodology required for the same.

Regards,

Dr. Pankaj Singh

Dear Dr. Pankaj Singh,

You can use the methodology from the following book on scale development
DeVellis, R. F., & Thorpe, C. T. (2021). Scale Development: Theory and Applications (5th ed.). Sage Publications.

You can also refer to the latest research papers from good journals about scale development process / methodology. I have a collection of 250+ research papers on scale development. I was also part of the scale development process for TMTC Pune (Tatas) on the Employee Emotional Connectedness Scale.

Regards

Dr Raja Sankaran

Dear Pankaj
Due to the sensitivity of this topic, I feel working on personal interviews will be better suited than the questionnaire/scale method.
Best wishes
