Pranam Neeraj Sir and all members,
I have just completed my Ph.D. coursework.
I am confused about choosing the right topic for my Ph.D. in Tourism and Travel Management. Tourist experience, Cultural and heritage tourism are my some areas of interest.
How should I proceed? And what things should I keep in mind so I can avoid any future mistakes during this process? Kindly guide.

Thankyou,

Best regards,
Raveesh Mrigendra

Hello,
Pls do following things
1. Go to Google scholar and type any keywords you like, for ex tourism
2. Lakhs of paper will come, try to read just titles of the papers,   write 2 to 15 tilles of the papers, you will see some or the other pattern
3. Try doing this for 2 days continuously
4. Once you find right keywords you will come across some systematic review papers, (SLR papers means collection of 50 to 100 to 200 papers in one area .
4. Try to read 3 to 5 SLR papers, and if you don't find them random search which you have done try to read full paper atleast 2 to 5.
5. In those papers once you read. Many authors would have written like for example. X is studied y is studied but this is a gap Z so m trying to fill it up.
6. Start findings gaps. And work in area you love.
7. Take this literature work to your guide or your mentor.
8. Then will fix up a topic. Theirs is not standard formula to find the topic their is no thing such as good or bad topic.
9..meanwhile start working on learning research methodology just go through videos of neeraj sir. But along with it read text book study research methodology from video and books.
10. Again ask the group members. If you have any doubts .

Best wishes always
