Dear respected group members,
I want to know if we can add SLR as one of the thesis objectives. Is it an accepted practice?
Regards

Dear scholar,
SLR is a methodology which gives you an indepth knowledge about your lituatarure that has been worked upon in your respective domain. It cannot be a objective, in order to show that you have done a robust LR, you have used the method of SLR, but it cannot be objective, yet respected neeraj sir and senior will provide there inputs.  I hope I have answered your query properly.

Dear Mohua
It is majorly seen that the purpose of Systematic literature review (SLR) is to help you reach a defintine objective and also prepare a corpus of papers for any research problem.
And regarding PhD thesis objective selection, it's better to go for qualitative and quantitative objectives (which can be empirically tested) rather than SLR as an objective.
Above all, it's advisable to consult your Phd supervisor for selection of thesis objectives.

Thank you
Best wishes

Dear,

In my limited knowledge, it is the SLR which gives you the present studies related to your objective not vice versa...   SLR is the methodology to explore your objective in terms of past studies done related to your objectives, not vice versa.

Wait for Dr Neeraj sir comments for more insight on this aspect.

With warm regards,

Dr. Sundeep Kumar

SLR is a method of synthesizing the data and it is majorly used to find research gaps in the literature . These gaps can be explored in detail which will eventually help you to formulate your research objectives.
