Dear members
I am currently at the initial stage of developing a measurement scale for my research, and I am writing to seek your guidance regarding the "essential enclosures and supporting documents" that should be maintained and prepared alongside a scale development paper.
Since this is my first attempt at scale development, I want to ensure that my work is methodologically rigorous and that I am adequately prepared for the "peer-review process". While I am in the early phases i.e. conceptualization and item generation, I wish to systematically maintain all necessary documentation so that nothing critical is missing at the time of manuscript submission.
In this regard, I would be grateful for your advice on:
1. What key "enclosures or supplementary materials" reviewers typically expect for a scale development paper
2. Which documents should be maintained from the "initial stages" itself (even if not all are submitted)
3. Best practices for ensuring transparency and methodological defensibility during review
Your guidance would help me align my work with established standards in scale development research and avoid omissions later in the process.
Thank you very much for your time and support. I truly appreciate your mentorship and insights.
Warm regards,
