Dear Friends

Fuzzy Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) is an excellent technique which is a powerful method used in social research to analyze complex causal relationships.

fsQCA combines elements of combinatorial logic, fuzzy set theory, and Boolean minimization. It aims to identify necessary and sufficient conditions for a particular outcome. Unlike traditional statistical techniques, fsQCA provides a holistic view of interrelationships among several conditions using Boolean algebra [Source: bing Copilot].

I've explained this technique in this video:

Dear Friends

The following steps are considered for fsQCA
1. Compute Descriptive
2. Calibrate
3. Truth Table
4. Intermediate Solution
5. Specific Configuration
6. Plot

I've discussed step no 1,2,3 in this video:

Respected Dear Neeraj Sir,

Greetings. A humble request if you could organise an online FDP on FsQCA in the near future. It would be a great opportunity to learn the same hands-on under your esteemed guidance. Humbly request your kind attention & consideration for the same.

Warm Regards,

Dr. Rajesh

Dear Sir,

Suppose the collected data is in the form of a Likert scale. After investigating a complete assessment of the measurement model, can we use the latent construct score (command > …$construct_scores from R studio) as the input dataset for conducting fsQCA analysis to examine the configuration between each antecedent condition and outcome?

Thanks & Regards,

Tushar

Dear Tushar
Yes, you can extract construct scores from R and use that in fsQCA.
Best wishes

Dear Neeraj Sir,
I'm trying to install the fsqca package and the software cannot be installed as it is showing some files are missing. I have installed the redistributable files also as mentioned in the webpage. Still not working. Could something be done in this regard?  Kindly suggest if there is anything I can do.
With regards,
Anjali Kaimal

Dear Friends
We can work on fsQCA on the construct scores derived from PLS-SEM.
Here first we need to compute the validity and reliability of each construct (whatever it is like IDV, DV, Med, Mod, Control var, Marker Var etc).
Then we take the construct score to fsQCA and perform the following steps:
1. Run Descriptives
2. Calibrate new vars using Descriptives
3. Run Truth table Analtsis -> Delete Code (for freq<1) -> Standard Analysis
4. Interpret the results

I've explained all these steps in this video:

Dear Friends

fsQCA can also be performed using R Package QCA (QCA Reference Manual: QCA: Qualitative Comparative Analysis)

To run the entire analysis in R-Studio, we can work in SEMinR (SEMinR) +QCA

I've explained the same in this video:

fsQCA-6 SEMinR+fsQCA: https://youtu.be/ohdF-xKHfzA

For working on SEM, we've 3 softwares: SmartPLS, AMOS or R-studio (SEMinR Package)
For working on fsQCA we've 2 softwares: fsQCA or R-Studio (QCA)
Hence the following combinations are possible:

Dear Friends

I have discussed about computing separate Necessary Conditions for every high and low value of constructs in fsQCA in this video:
