Dear Friends

Sometime back Mr M. Manoraj, NIT Trichy recommended me to read these articles on ANN from the International Journal of Information Management (ABDC A* Journal) and and urged me to learn ANN:  
On reading these articles, I found that Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is this is a very extremely technique which is now getting wide recognition in the fields of Management, Commerce and Social Science. Along with using routine Data Analysis techniques (Hypothesis testing, SEM etc), ANN is used as a complementary technique for confirming the results of other techniques.
 
So, thanks to Manoraj and my friend Dr Anshuman Sharma, I learnt ANN and now I tried to explain the same in a new youTube playlist. In the first video, I discussed the Concept of Neural network and the study material.

Dear Dr. Neeraj Kaushik,

Thank you for the wonderful video lessons on ANN. My doubt is regarding the path analysis table in the paper on predicting m-wallet.

At 10:31 minute of the ANN Part-4 video, the Hypothesis H3 "Income - RS" relationship is "Not Supported" even though the P value is highly significant and T Statistics is 3.7490. The positive values of the Lower Bound and Upper Bound should it mean significance?

It's a wonderful observation. 
Yes, t>1.96 as well as both LCL & UCL being a positive indication that there is a sig effect of income on RS.
It's a typing error from the author's side.

Dear Felix,

Please refer to the research paper and the directional hypothesis for H3.

H3. Income has a negative effect on m-wallet resistance.

The study resulted in a positive beta value. Hence, the positive effect contradicts the proposed negative effect and therefore H3 is not supported.

Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Let's discuss the case when DV is categorical.
Statistically, we shd use Linear Discriminant Analysis here. It's worthwhile to check whether ANN gives a better prediction than LDA. I've explained this in the following video:

I read this paper and many other papers. Everyone has used this formula but not given the details of how to work on this formula.
So, by the time I search for the calculation steps of r2 in ANN, I think we can go ahead with the steps given in the attached file.
