Non Parametric test for multiple linear regression

Dear Neerja and Team members,

I am working on one research project where I am conducting multiple linear regression analysis. But, the linearity, normality and multicollinearity assumptions are violated. Therefore, could please suggest if there is an alternative non parametric test for multiple linear regression?

Following are the solution:

1. If the relation between IDV and DV is not linear then use Curvi-linear regression

2. For resolving the issue of Multicollinearity, use Step-wise Regression

3. Normality is never checked for the DV or IDV rather for the residuals.

Residuals are almost always normally distributed.

Hello Neeraj.

Normality on residuals itself is violated.  I am using python library on google colab to run the regression. So any suggestions specifically for this.? Can i use SVM for non parametric multiple linear regression. ?

If I am not wrong then if your data satisfies the assumption of central limit theorem then I guess there is no need to check normality. Correct me if I am wrong.
