I used the program to teach data visualization to my class. Many students liked it better than Tableau or Excel (my usual go-tos) but found the performance varies. I really liked teaching with it as the students did not have to install any special software and it worked well across platforms. I am glad to contribute teaching materials if you wish to contact me.

Professor Elliot,

Which course activities and data visualizations do you use in class?

I am co-instructing an undergraduate Data Visualization course for first-time visualization students. So far, Excel and Tableau have been covered and students choose Tableau for their final project. I’m open to considering Data Illustrator, though am unsure how to get started.

Hi Dr. Elliott,
We are glad to add a link to your teaching materials on the Data Illustrator website if you are interested in sharing them online.

We are also developing a new version of Data Illustrator: https://data-illustrateur.github.io/ , and welcome any feedback.

Thanks,
