Thanks for this Leo, I'll check out the maps on Sustrans
website. I can understand why Sustrans is doing this :to
encourage newcomers to cycling it's really important that promoted
routes are safe (It would be even better if they were well
surfaced and dedicated solely for cycling!). Sadly many dedicated
paths around Ipswich seem to get very little maintenance in terms
of cutting back overgrowing vegetation - I recently used the
bridleway from Norwich Road (Whitton) through to the Anglia Retail
Park - the end near the superstores is very overgrown.
