Hello Cugosians,
We have our first meeting of 2021 this coming Wednesday.
Chris Beddow will talk about Mapillary, OpenStreetMap, and mapping a small town in Montana. Chris works on Mapillary/OSM data, product, and analytics within Facebook Reality Labs, with a mission to stimulate conversation about what tools the OSM community needs to map in detail and at scale. Mapillary is the open street-level imagery platform, with worldwide coverage including 1.4 billion images from independent users, local/national governments, private companies, and non-profits/NGOs on every continent of the world.
Dustin Carlino will talk about recent developments with A/B Street, including but not limited to: handling OSM cyclepaths, merging complicated intersections, the web version, and new side-projects exploring 15-minute neighborhoods.
There is still room on the agenda if you have something interesting to present. Go ahead and make a PR
https://github.com/cugos/cugos.github.com with your talk title and description, or shoot us an email at
he...@cugos.org and we will add you to the schedule.
We will also have elections for the board. Current nominees are Kate von Krusenstiern, Jonny Kemp, Ranek Kiil and Jacob Lesser. Nominations are still open. If you would like to serve on the board, or know somebody you think would be a good candidate, please send your nomination to
he...@cugos.org before our meeting on Wednesday. Members who wish to vote on the election should attend the meeting.
Cheers,
CUGOS
