Dear friends,
I had a delightful birthday and appreciate your good wishes. I don't know if any of you live in a home for independent seniors as I do, but it's a delightfully lively place and quite a few of my friends here are still going strong in their mid-90s. My neighbor across the hall has trouble hearing, but she stands and walks without assistance and has a wonderful sense of humor at 97. She and others have given me hope that I may live to see my youngest grandchild (who celebrated his second birthday on May 6) graduate from high school at least. But I agree that staying upright is the best plan!
Take care and keep having birthdays. It's been scientifically proven to be the best way to achieve a longer than average life span.
Love,
Susan
