A late reply to a birthday message caused a bit of confusion. David’s birthday was August 1.

Does that make David prematurely 80 years old?

Dave, I've lost the email about Happy Day Cleaners but my parents were good friends with the Plylers. Daddy would go to Wiles Drug Store each afternoon around 3:00 for "tea time" with the guys. Was your Dad (granddad) one of "the guys"?

You betcha Sue! My Dad had a diploma from Tech High School
How he ever he learned the secrets he knew about chemistry & what chemicals to use to get unknown stains in suits, shirts, ties, etc was always a mystery. But the Plyers always called him their “secret weapon”

Oh yes Sue, I think they bought Pop a beer every time….he was their secret weapon!  My Mom was the front counter person over at Nunnery’s Cleaners. If they couldn’t get a stain out, she would bring it home & Pop would take it with him the next day & drop it off at Nunnery’s when he picked Mom up after work.
