Mike - Had a great day! Long lunch and visit with long time friend, dinner with Chris and daughter Jennifer! 

I have been celebrating for days - we went to see Justin Hayworth (Moody Blues), Maine Botanical garden Labor Day, ate lobster and saw the coast - I have a birthday gift is to see the Eagles in the Sphere the end of October, so I have more celebrations coming up!

We are grateful to have these years! We are finding ways to enjoy and share joy as much as we can! 

My granddaughters keep me smiling.

Tina,

Thanks so much for mentioning your trip to see the Eagles. We became aware of the Sphere last December when we in Vegas for Ben’s birthday. We had tickets to Shania Twain but not the Eagles. We just made reservations for the Eagles at the Sphere for Friday January 23rd. We can fly nonstop to Vegas on Allegiant.

Paul - Chris really wants to see the Sphere so we have watched for a show. I am really excited. Never flow Allegient I may need to look at it...

 Mike - I am celebrating next week by heading for Hawaii - did I tell you that? Chris is playing golf every other day! 

Julie/Karen - I think I thanked each of you. All - If I forgot to thank you, please recall I am 80! I have been ignoring age for years but somehow this one seems real. 

I know this sounds like a LOT. Remember, I was a road warrior and flew every week and consulted for years after most of my friends retired. I have a friend who says I am not happy unless I have a plane ticket in my desk drawer.

Tina, Asheville is a hub for Allegiant, and Allegiant also happens to sponsor the stadium for the Las Vegas Raiders football team. It used to be a “rubber-band” airline, but it’s upgraded to respectability. It only flies a few days per week, but if one gets tickets far enough in advance non-stop round trips to places like Phoenix, Boston, and Minneapolis can be as low as $52.

Tina, I missed this thread, just got back yesterday from a short trip to Vail, CO.  No bands, but absolutely stunning display for miles and miles of golden aspen groves amid the evergreens and mountains.  I hope your eightieth was wonderful.  And please do continue to enjoy this "habit," as Robert says, of having birthdays.  My younger daughter sent me a card with EIGHTY spelled out in Scrabble tiles and the message: 

"Eighty is only 13 in Scrabble!"
